I think my thankful list could be a mile long and that in itself is a blessing. I am most thankful for my family, especially my husband, A, A, &C. Each one is amazing in their own way and I love them sooo much. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone out there. Hope you spend the day with those you love and that you wear your most comfortable stretchy pants to the Thanksgiving feast.

Happy Thanksgiving!
It is Thanksgiving morning, still dark outside, and the rest of my crew is sleeping peacefully in bed. I on the other hand am enjoying an ice cold diet coke and some peaceful silence before we start the day. Yeah, me! Today is a time when we are supposed to stop and focus on all the things we are thankful for. Of course, we should do this more than once a year and I try, but often times don't do a very good job.

The ultimate punishment...
Wednesday Wes picked up the kids and I when I got home I found Caleb in timeout and a long note from his teacher on the counter. Apparently Caleb had no interest in participating in gross motor that day and he preferred to watch the kids playing outside instead of eating his lunch. When the teachers tried to move him to a different chair, he threw a fit. We have seen these fits quite a bit lately, but this is the first time he has done it at school. Wes must have given him a pretty stern talk and he was given the ultimate punishment.... his boots and cowboy hat were taken away. They were put on the top shelf of our closet and would not come down until we received good notes home.
I am happy to report that those boots and hat came down today and so far we have had one well behaved cowboy.

1st Father/Son Hunt
For someone who could care less about how many horns are on a buck's head, I sure was excited for Wes & Austin to get home from their first father/son hunt in Mason to hear all about it from the perspective of a 4 year old. Wes & our friend Dane Rau who are on the same lease, took the oldest boys of the family, Kade and Austin, to the lease for 4 days for a little hunting action. The full report we got back was that the boys loved it, got along the whole time, and were easily entertained at deer camp.
The morning they left, Austin was up bright and early and had his big buck shirt on before anyone else got out of bed. He was SOOOO excited. Wes said he sat well in the stand and if you saw my previous post you'll see that he didn't have a hard time keeping himself occupied. Wes was one proud daddy after the weekend was over. I'm sure there will be many more deer slayings in their future.

Modern hunting...
Here's one way to keep the boys still and quiet while waiting on the big buck to come to the feeder....
