JUNE

This pic pretty much wraps up our month of June.  Since May 30th, we have been at the ball field every night except for Father's Day Sunday.  Between practices and games and practices in between begin games, we have had our share of baseball and softball.  I wouldn't change it for anything.  This was a total family affair, always there to cheer each other on.  So proud of A&A and what they accomplished!  Proud of Wes and all he did for his team!  Proud of Caleb hanging in there when he so badly wanted to be the one playing on the field.... next year buddy!  Love the friendships we made with other families and the memories that we have of our 1st all star experience.

Time to slow things down a bit.  Going to enjoy a few summer evenings at home before a much needed week of r&r on a cruise ship.

WCLL Pee Wee 7 Yr Old Baseball All Star Wrap Up

What a great season these boys had!  They battled hard every game and improved so much in the 4 weeks they played together.  In the end, their season ended in the semifinals in a nail biter against Burleson County, 15-14.  It was a tough loss, but every player deserved to hold their head high.

Austin played 3rd base for the team and improved most defensively.  He was a strong bat for the team, hitting in the 2 hole and usually finding a way to get himself on.  We are so proud of how far he has come this year.  

Wes got his first taste of coaching in the "big leagues".  He is great with the boys, keeps his cool and makes sure each one knows their role on the team.  It wasn't an easy job, but I'd say he did pretty fantastic.... I guess I'm a little bias.

Pee Wee 7-8 Softball All Star Wrap Up

4 weeks of countless hours of softball have come to an end.  The WCLL Pee Wee 7/8 All Star team made it to the Championship game where they came up short and loss to Columbus in a 11-5 ballgame.  The girls had a great run and improved so much but more importantly made friends and memories that will last a lifetime.  

Avery was one of the three 7 yr olds on the team.  She she saw most of her time in centerfield and was able to make some things happen at the plate.  She's still got some work to do... sometimes her focus wanders :), but we must remind ourselves that these girls are 7 & 8 years old.

Playing sports with glasses isn't always easy so we decided to give contacts a shot.  At 7, contacts are a big responsibility, but so far so good.  It takes a little time to get them in, but he's starting to get the hang of it.  

Fan Club

A&A are SO lucky to have their own fan club.  With both of them playing, it's not easy to make all the games, but these grandparents do everything they can to get to the games and cheer on WC!  

Pee Wee 7's All Star Update

These tough guys went 2-2 in pool play.  They saw some pretty good competition and never gave up.  Heading into bracket play now with the first game against Bellville.  Let's go WC!

Pee Wee 7-8 girls update

These girls went 4-0 in pool play in their 1st LL All Star run.  We are so proud of them!!!   Now it's on to single elimination bracket play.  First up for WC, Bellville.  Hoping we see these girls playing in the championship game!

Caleb's turn

Caleb has been a trooper.  He's not old enough for All Stars, but he's been roped into being at the field every night for practice.  He's been put to work base running and shagging balls and he's getting the best practice by just watching the boys and learning.  Last week, the Brenham high school coaches put on a baseball camp and we didn't have to ask Caleb twice if he wanted to do it.  AND Jase went to camp too... icing on the cake.

Caleb's team, the Braves, won the world series and he got the SMILE award for always having a smile on his face.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Fathers Day to the best dad we could ask for!  We lucked out in the dad department.  He's all in, always involved, always there to show us how to do things and there to show that he is our #1 fan.
