A few posts ago I posted a picture of Austin from his 2nd hunt of the season. I really should have put a bit more into the post.... it was a big deal! This time it was just a trip to the deer lease for Austin and Wes - a little father/son bonding. They were both looking forward to getting away from the rest of us :-) They left out on a Sunday and Monday morning I got a text from Wes saying that he had shot a buck (BBD). Austin was soooo excited. He was up early that morning with his dad and sat patiently in the blind. After the shot and the kill, he couldn't wait to get to the deer to check out the horns. This is a definite memory he'll be able to share for years to come.
