Mommy perks

Mother's Day is just a few days away and we have a busy weekend ahead. While I have a little window of time, I thought I'd sit and list the things I love about being a mom:

teacher's notes sent home with positive comments, singing "I'm a Little Tea Pot" at the top of my lungs on the way to school, the smell of bubble bath, picking out coordinating outfits for special occasions, eating leftover Happy Meal french fries.... just hate to waste, watching Wes conclude the evening with a game of buckin' bull with the kids, watching my kids sing at the front of church even though they never open their mouths, being called "mom", coloring, going to work with stains on my clothes and always having an excuse, school artwork on display at work and home, random "I love you's", happy plates, time with grandparents, constant reason to shop, night time kisses, the first swim of the season, the feel of being needed in just about any situation (I know this will change as they get older), tiny fingers & tiny toes, talking with other moms about the ins and outs of being a mom, reading bed time stories, watching the kids get excited about the simplist things in life, holding hands, Austin James, Avery Grace, Caleb Wesley
